Congrats to the Netherlands!

... on the 1-2-3 finishes in the Men's 5k. Wow - dominating performance.

:worship: :rockin:  :woot:  :rockin: :worship:

Watch out for Emory Lehman, though. 17 years old - he's an up-and-comer. :D

... but I suppose for every Emory Lehman the US has in the pipeline, you guys have 10 teenagers who couldn't qualify because of the Sven Kramers, Jan Blokhuijsens, and Jorrit Berghsmas in front of them.

Sad to say Erin's been cheering for the Netherlands rather than Team GB....

... And US Speedskating continues its graceless implosion. Bad skinsuits, bad bureaucrats making bad decisions and overruling coaches, money spent on executive banquets and junkets instead of on training. I hope it's all at least entertaining. I heard the Dutch coach is amused by the "high tech" skinsuits that were supposed to give our team an advantage.

Circling the drain ...

I heard on the radio that the Netherlands currently got 17 medals? Nice ..
I think Belgium is still on 0, silently hoping for one medal 8-)

Netherlands is now storming away in third place with 20 medals.
I thought the Netherlands was mostly flat and underwater, so it must be Erins cheering doing the job.

Team GB has emm 2 medals.

I actually saw some show on one of the BBC's pointing something on which i had to agree i never saw it from that point of view.
But winter olympics are plain reckless and dangerous! People jumping or skying of slopes at incredible speeds, one mistake and you end up dead. Even the skating is dangerous, with those sharp blades underneath the shoes, wouldnt be the first nasty cut one gets. And we are all encouraging it xD
