I've got a version down, I messed up the part before the last chorus, and probably in a couple of other places but as I've been recording all afternoon I carried on & will re-record tomorrow.

Am I emailing this to you, 7uh? And what do you want me to do with it, MP3 or leave as an audaicty file? It's quiet, but amplifying it in audacity didn't distort it, so I'll leave you to do that in cubase as it's probably much better :)

Cooks if we are keep things consistent you should send an audacity project file , that way all tracks remain separate, then 7uh can add his bit an whoever else wants a piece. At the end 7uh can extract each track individually and do his thing.

BTW remember ol cannon on yer email cc: list as I would like a copy also, if only to hear a little until 7uh gets his plectrum out :D

Agree?

I've not / won't be sticking it with the drum track, so as an mp3 or audacity file it'll be bass on it's own. Got time for another bash at recording, see if I can count this time...

Edit: looks like I can't count... :lmao:

I would definitely like an mp3 file; please send a version to Cannon as well, since I think he's getting together the master Audacity thingy. For my part, I'll go ahead and send along a file to both of you once I get a good guitar take.

As for the bass part, "quiet" is fine -- better that than distorted, and something similar to the test file you sent earlier will work great.

Ehh? Overstepped what? All I meant was I'll provide it as just the bass so it can be mixed, used & abused however 7uh wishes :)

I've botched my first cut using audacity so that the part where I messed up uses the part where I first played it. I'll get a better recording (hopefully!) tomorrow, but check your email 7uh & cannon - mp3's coming through. Hopefully it's enough to get started on 7uh, but if my recordings too quiet / shoddy then no worries, I'll bugger it up again tomorrow.

Also 7uh, the riff before the chorus I think I've got wrong - if it sounds too out of place / tune compared to what you'll be playing, let me know (& if possible what to change it to) & I'll do that in tomorrows recording.

Ok, I've just read your other email properly cannon (skimmed over it earlier :( ) and am plugged straight to my PC - it sounds great. Last time I tried it, it sounded awful - but just realised, it must be the new bass - not tried it with this. Here we go.......... You got it, AGAIN :D

Well, here is the first song performed the virtual FnG band ... a version of "All Day and All of the Night" by The Kinks.

Here me hear

Drums = [Fng] Cannon Fodder
Bass = [Fng] Exp.D
Guitars, vox = [Fng] 7uh

We don't have a name for the band yet, but I thought of "Stiff Little FnGers" today and made myself laugh. The younger generation may not get it, though. :P
