Just RC toy carring around...

Postby [FnG] LcNessie » Tue Jul 20, 2010 1:45 am

A couple of weeks ago, I bought an RC car. It has seen extensive use since...

And here is where we will probably keep an extended hiatus regarding this subject. Just watch the last video for an explanation why...

He needs to do it with RAMPS ;-) But i would embed the camera in a polysterene block instead of the roll cage for better
protection - my daughter has busted three (albeit cheap) cameras by dropping them from minimal heights.
it only takes a knock on the lens at the wrong angle and its knackered.

The camera on the car footage came out quite well better than I thought.
I also liked the windmills on the first film.

Good fun.

One moment you're theorizing about the possibilities of a mounted camera, the next moment you see videos of it popping up on YouTube... The internet works in mysterious ways... and pretty quick too :P

Good show, old chap!

Did I say ramps?

How about ramps and fire hoops? :rockin:

I tried some ramps today, but I accidentally left my camera on "photo" mode, instead of "video" mode...

And now a propulsion axle is missing. It may have broken or come loose, but I couldn't find it in the grass or on the little skate park I tried it on... Ordering a spare set, but that'll probably only arrive on wensday...

Ah well, there's still next week... :)

Thanks for the offer. :worship: It's surely appreciated.

However, I don't know which parts are damaged. Well, the regulator/driver of course. That's without a doubt. But did a short circuit in the motor cause it? Is the receiver still ok? What about the steering servo?

I still have warranty on this car, as I only bought it a month ago. It is a factory malfunction, as the overheating protection should have cut in. It didn't... So I'll just let Conrad handle it.

You must admit, it was some spectacular footage! :crown:
