:waving: Nessie, if you've got that thing working, you gotta find some cows and try this! :rockin:
And shoot video, please!

It's so funny because you can't work out what's going on in their tiny minds.
Strange mash-up of fear/curiosity, I guess.
Sort of like when Lambik works on the servers... :stars:

Please, please, please — you have cows in Holland, right?
Over by the windmills?

Hehehe, that was excellent!

However, my models are either too small for this or run on nitro-methane. Looks like this was an electric model. I saw it driving backwards at one point...

As far as I can see, it's the Traxxas Summit

Quite a nice machine, yes, but not a racer... ;)

I am working on something similar, though... Just needs the servos and some other small parts before it becomes operational.

... Yes, those are hearts...

Well... More of a pit-lane fuel incident, yes...

That was one fuel line that decided to wedge itself between the clutch-bell and the crown cog. This caused a nice little fountain of fuel for Kahbouter and Marnix to contend with... (Marnix races Truggies and helped me and Kahbouter to get the car running again...)

No flames were detected, because it's nitro methane, which burns colorless, so nobody got hurt...

... BEHOLD!... An update or two...

... and...

There's also a version with the unstabilized on-board camera. Yes, this version is actually the stabilized one... :P

Enjoy once again! Or twice, actually...

I bet..when you found out what the cause was, you though: "oh snap!"

PS1 Now you'll have an excuse for a bigger engine ;)
PS2: Fueling accidents....broken engines...still the same pitboss?
PS3: If 110 euro for a shaft makes it a loss, how much does a new engine cost actually?

Cheers

To answer your questions:

Something like that...
PS1:

I could do that, but performance increase would be marginal, as opposed to fuel consumption... NOT a good thing... :stars:

PS2:

Yup, I'm still the pit boss  ... Kahbouter is only responsible for topping up the fuel and starting it during races, I'm responsible for the mechanical state and performance of the car.

PS3:

The engine I was talking about, was a second hand engine. I bought a pair of 'em for 75 Euros each. Not only the crankshaft is damaged, there's also scratches in the crank case, on the back plate, I need a new cooling head and I have no idea what damage has been done to the bearings. All in all, it'd be cheaper to buy a brand new engine than all the spare parts for this second hand one.

A new engine can be a bought for as less as 125 euros. With pullstart and without power. A decent engine can cost as few as 170 euros up to 600 ( :chin: ) euros. If I'm going to buy a new engine, I'm going for this one, which is available for around 230 euros.
