Dr. Hanno the Re-Animator revives a thread long thought to be extinct!

Live, I command you!

Smoking is for losers! And yes it is personal!

In Holland it seems to me that smoking is part of the culture just like you see these french guys with the hats and the bread with a smoke in their mouths. I don't like breathing the stuff so I don't like being around smokers hence the no social life cause I'm not making this up of all the massive amount classes I have been to these past few years 90% were smokers and the rest were "social smokers". I'm in South Africa right now and I actually haven't seen a single smoker yet not even outside, I was really suprised. Maybe its because they don't need to smoke to get the crap in their longs. I call it the brown mist, if you see the city from a distance its got the massive brown layer surrounding it, when you're in it you won't see, but from a distance wow, what a sight.

The smog when I worked in Athens was like that as well. But you could climb up one of the mounts on one side of the city and get above it
and see the sort of layer where it faded.

They brought in a congestion policy where people could only drive cars on alternartive days (based on a number plate numbering)
but then people just bought two cars one for each day...

Whilst I realise car fumes in a city are probably nearly as bad for you as smoking is, the difference is
smoking is non essential while a lot of car journeys (at least if you are working) are.

This thread is now hauled from the bowels of the forum for the following public health awareness statement:

XXX XX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Edited: to restrain my totally over-whelming anger concerning people who smoke and deny
the effects of passive smoking. Passive smoking kills people you care about- quit now.
