Oh BTW I thought it was time to reward my assassin by getting him some better armor. I ended up going with the Vanguard armor. After several dye options and combos and Drew's help I finally settled on a blue-green. Drew, here is a better picture of it in full detail:

Geez, I wish they coulda done this just with the monster changes in the Chaos Plains,
rather than screw up the skill for everyone's (current) farming build. :roll:

P.S. It might be wise to purchase a big chunk o' ectos from the merch, while they're still low... :idea:

EDIT: Erm, probably not such a good idea — ectos are already spiking at 6.3K at trader. Damn.

NOTE: Note sure whether the skill change is already in (at work now), but if not, it will be implemented certainly with tomorrow's Canthan festival downloads...

its about time been waiting for the swing of the bat and it hadn't been updated 4/5 hours ago so it should be done in the festival update.

I can see why they screwed over the farming options with the skill change. Aside from the 55 Monk build, there hasn't been a build that has had such a massive amount of freedom to do about anything. I mean, the perma SF could farm ettins, tengu, raptors, UW, Tomb of the Primeval King, etc. on hard mode with no difficulty. Now they're setting it up so that you NEED to spend longer with the build, making it worth less to be farming with it.

I assumed that 'burning' would be halved. If it's not -- holy crap, yeah.

If you could work Viper's Def in there, then you could smoke the Aatxes more quickly.

FYI ... chokky spotted this build.. i simply tested it and relayed it to you all ... and another thing instead of dash since you have burning speed ... in the video i posted the guy was using glowing gaze which adds more to your firepower so ya this is definitely viable ^_^

Yeah found this build the day they nerfed the old one, but did not get to test it because I was still in the old build farming away! ;)

Meet Linsey Murdock, game designer for the Guild Wars Live team.
He's recently taken on the role of working exclusively on Guild Wars Live issues,
such as bugs, added content and general maintenance.
Before this, she was working on Guild Wars 2 design.
Before that, she worked on quests and explorable areas for Guild Wars.
He designed Drakkar Lake, Varajar Fells, Sacnoth Valley and Arbor Bay,
along with many Nightfall and EotN quests.

On her "UserTalk" page on GW's 'official' Wiki, someone prompted her with:
"The Developer Update said you are still keeping an eye on Shadow Form even though they severely nerfed it with a 50% damage penalty. According to the dev update, they have plans to make sure SF can't be kept up indefinitely. So, does this mean that now only it would end perma-shadow UW farming, but will make boss farming impossible?" and blah blah blah -- mostly stupid and wrong stuff.

We didn't say anything about making it so that you can't keep up SF permanently, nor do we have plans to do that.

However, keep in mind, we don't want to completely eliminate the SF Sin's ability to farm in UW. We just want to slow it down enough so that it's equal to the other farming builds/areas, like the Smite fields.

Well, the "Monster Update" is out, and it's a doozy -- buffs everywhere for no particular reason, with the exception being a semi-nerf to Ursan.

Holy crap, THREE skills on my current Sin farming build got buffed! Wheeee!
Shadow Form now only does 33% damage-reduction (was 50%)!
Ebon Battle Standard of Honor: increased duration to 14..20 seconds; increased damage to 8..15; increased damage against Charr to 7..10.
Radiation Field: increased duration to 4..6 seconds; increased Disease duration to 12..20 seconds. :shock:

How about this?
Pain Inverter: increased damage bonus to 100..140%.

Too many other changes to discuss here, will be interesting to see what
UW Chaos Plains farmers make of this:
Underworld changes
* Reapers now become invulnerable once all quests have been completed in the Underworld.
* Replaced Cursed Dream Riders with Banished Dream Riders.
* Shortened the distance Banished Dream Riders will follow a player.
* Banished Dream Riders now stand stationary and overlook a small complement of added Wailing Lords.
* Mindblade Spectres' base attack is now ranged.
* Increased the Health of Mindblade Spectres by 500.
* Reduced the run speed of Mindblade Spectres.
