So it didn't take long. Rift is going free to play.

Strangely I was just thinking about this when starting out with Tera just thinking to myself that this was the only other Sub based game I could think of at the time, then poof F2P hits it.

it is still going to have a subs option like alot of these f2p games. It will have various rewards and they have named it Loyalty so un-original.

So many games are jumping F2P lately.
Which ones are still working with subs?
WoW, EVE online I can get from the top of my mind. Everquest 2?

Is rift nice to play ? Is the teamplay well supported ?
Most MMO's today you can play the same area, but real team effort is not rewarded, and very inefficient to do,
not to speak about teamplay being required(other then spam skills at random with a big group)

I've downloaded it and the 1st impression is certainly good, but I'm going to need to have a good look at the site to know what to do with all these points to put in " soul", they provide you with a path though.

Servers were quite full so I ended up on argent, which is PVE-rp, not sure if that makes much difference with PVE.

Teamplay?...I havent got a clue ...not sure if that matters at lvl 5 :P (though they hint at it...but don't they all  )

Definitely worth a try I'd say, a cool point is you can play as it is downloading after it's loaded the 1st 100 megs or so.

This could be a competitor for tera, which has been keeping me entertained over the last few weeks and actually got me to spend money on a key, so I have a veteran's account there now ;)

PS: The game loads quite fast, which is novel
