CoD4 night

Postby [FnG] Lambik » Tue Apr 22, 2008 11:07 pm

As there are quite a few ppl arround that play Call of Duty 4,
maybe it's nice to meet on the FnG server like we did last week.

There are already some other 'event' nights (like onslaught, UT2k4 evening, SAS evening on Thursday,Tuesday and Sunday)
handy to keep in mind with the choice, so more ppl can join.

Interesting,

I chose Mon and Wed as the weekend tends to see numbers drop off for obvious reasons.

Im certainly up for it.

Btw Lambik, I keep missing you playing on a server only to hear it from Cooks after the fact. Please give me a nudge on xfire anytime and I'll do my best to jump in and show you all how its done :P

It was really fun playing with all of you on our own FnG server. Good to see all the old SAS players again too.

I don't play that often on-line, so if we were to to have a CoD4-evening I'd probably have to skip the SAS-Sunday evening... So Sundays would work for me too

Me Likey Cod4 :ninja:

Hmmm... My brother plays Call of Duty 4, and I told him to join the [FnG] server but he wouldn't because it is empty. So now he can come on the FnG CoD 4 night :D Me too ofcourse.

When I see the poll results I see it will probarly be Monday and Wednesday. Sounds good. How late does it start? 8:30 (20:30)? :)

Tends to be from around that (CET that is, 7.30pm UK time). I looked for you on xfire last night as I knew you'd want to join in, but didn't see you :(

BTW Lambik, I think the servers set up pretty good.... Nice team sizes, respawn delay isn't too long, score & time limit mean maps are long enough to enjoy without getting boring :) Nice one, thanks

Hmm, not too keen on the spawn delay if im honest. I mean, Im all for the spawn delay but around 3-5 seconds. IIRC it was around 10 seconds last night a bit too long IMO. However, I agree nice job Lambik :)

Assuming Lambik already has the game and you both live in the same house then its entirely possible to both use the same copy of the game, no disc in drive required for multiplayer :)

It depends really, from what I can gather your mainly a GW type gamer although Im probably totally wrong :P I have tried quite a few games recently after the failure of UT3 and nothing seemed to fill the void for me. I tried BF2, TF2, Crysis, Gears of War, Halflife, and a few others but COD4 just blew me away! No pun intended :) .

Until last night I had started to take my foot off the pedal a bit as after you get to lvl55 [which happens quite quick] you lose a sense of purpose, whereas the console version has "Prestige Mode" which helps to keep things interesting but uses a damn game controller which is impossible to use for me.

If the FnG server takes off then playing with community members add a completely different slant to the game and becomes a scream...

Anyway, your the one person close enough to me [Seaburn, Sunderland] to have the same ping so get online I say...

Cannon :)

Great fun again last night. I was laughing so hard at the amount of times i was getting last stand.. so funny..

@ Yasmin, you did really well considering your first attempt and being handicapped with a crap gun and no perks, well played :)

Absolutely luv the reverse FF. Some servers are so frustrating having FF and constantly having to say "np" to a team kill when your really want to swear at them after being TK'ed for the umpteenth time  .. watch that V key there Cooks :P

Pings also seemed acceptable last night..
