Do you need to install patch 1.3 before 2.0?

Not sure if I ever downloaded 1.3 since I only played the game a handful of times before giving up.

Ok, update!

It's awesome, simply awesome :D Without even spending much time in the new modes, the new patch makes it feel far more 'complete' and it's a damn sight more fun, too. I've got a new card so I'm running everything on highest and it's turned a very trying experience into a really enjoyable one. (4870 1024MB for those who care :) )

EP - I went to 2.0 with no issues. Try it and you can always re-patch if necessary.

Tried the new game types, Greed and Betrayal today.
They seem quite fun but Im wondering if I am missing any thing important as I cant find instructions or even hints
for these new game types.

In Greed , you kill other players and then take the skulls to their base to get the points.
In Betrayal, you kill the other team but you can betray your own team by shooting them in the
back for extra points at which point you change to the other team. Not sure how/when is the best time to betray?

Plus do you know how the new rage skills work?

oh i did find a couple of video guides:

Greed sounds like TDM, with a point to it... Can't wait to give that one a try :) Reformatted, waiting to get round to installing games again.... :rockin:

Greed takes a lot more skill than TDM as you have to actually survive long enough to bag the skulls in the other teams camp.
My scores are pretty rotten because of my high death count... as opposed to TDM and DM where I usually come
at the top of public games (as long as you dont look at the number of deaths)

Overall I do like the new things in the patch, but sad to say I can't play much, it really makes my RSI play up.
Had very little pain with RSI for 6 months, after two nights of UT3 my hand and wrist have been really painfully for 24 hours after.

COD4 does not hurt me. I think because it is slightly slower paced.

Actually I noticed this too Hanno, playing TF2 which is also slower paced and then switching to UT3 for a night my wrist started to act up as well, although I'm sure mine probably isn't as bad as yours if it keeps you from playing at all :( .
