Tuesday Nights @ Euro

Postby [FnG] Cooks » Wed May 02, 2007 9:57 am

Thanks to all who came along last night! I completely forgot it was Euro night, and only remembered when hanno pointed it out while we were on another server. We had 4 of us on there, so we moved to the euro and reached 10-12 people shortly after - even Tiger & Sphinx :)

So, don't forget Tuesday nights, even though we don't post on the forums picking a game type or anything. Be there!

Be there or be whined at and forced into emotional guilt overload?

Think I sat for 30 mins on Euro before Pixie came and took pity on me.

Lets try and make an effort on Euro Tuesday night again.

Catch you there next week.

For a while during my late (and disturbingly geeky) teens I coined an alternative version with some friends which went something along the lines of:

"Be there, or be a four-sided, equi-dimensioned polygon."

It's true. Oh, the shame ... :couch:

I've missed 3 consecutive tuesdays due holidays/family/friends duties but I'll be there next week. I have to justify these 12+gigs on my hard drive by playing UT at least once a week.

We got there :) Glad everybody enjoyed themselves, we had some fun.

We had totally forgotten it was Tuesday - was bank holiday in France yesterday and got days muddled up :)

We will be there next Tuesday for a blast :shoot:

Now thats what I like to hear a Euro resurrection, maybe I could feign sickness and get to go home early for next tuesday... I wish...

Hope to see you all there when I get back. Last time away I left a euro that was busting at the seams every night and came home to a "crypt of fook" with whistling winds and rolling tumbleweed. Hope we can all keep it up, I'll certainly try.

See you all there....

Alas, the complete lack of late-night steamy action on Euro Server has seen me frequenting the dodgy side streets for a quick fix.

'Stalker' Street
'GTR2' Grove
'Tiger Woods 2007' Terrace

They are all my latest dirty secrets.

Now that I've finally figured out what the crikey was wrong with my rig (don't ask, lol) I'm panting for Euro like a dog is hot for ... uh ... your legs

So, on a more positive and less salacious note, I'll be on Euro. A bit more. Yay!

cheers,

Just got it! And a Saitek R440 wheel (which I pretended was for Jake). Absolutely loving it, but not very good yet. Ive only just mastered keeping a car on the track - its tough. Thought I'd done well with a lap time, only to realise the best do it 19 seconds quicker.

Eeek. But Ill persevere - its just so good. Reminds me much of the old Grand Prix 1 on the Amiga (qualifying, accelerated time, ability to view comp cars in qualifying!)

Sore arms though - must turn force feedback down a notch or two! :)

Don't forget to add [FnG]* to buddies, you'll find any of us then. If no ones on the euro, I haunt a TDM server (mags plays it a lot) just called ' play', it's usually fairly busy (although half the time bots.).

Incredibly difficult but damn good fun!

*mags somehow turns this thread back into WHY THE HELL THE EURO GUYS ARE ALL HOBBIT-LIKE AND BURROWING UNDERGROUND*

I want to see some hobbi ... UT2004 players! On EURO!

I'm man enough to say that cider has been the main proponent of this post.

Roger that, Roger!
