How long.....

Postby [FnG] Hanno » Mon Oct 17, 2011 11:07 am

Stupid question related to us all getting older - and Lambiks answer on BF3 thread about not playing games so much because we are old and grey.

How many hours gaming do you do a week compared to the all nighters you used to pull?

I am forced to play at 'Squeal point' by Erin about 1 hour of terraria a day
I play perhaps 1 hour of other games every other evening.
I play 3 hours of Cod on a wednesday night.
and I perhaps play for 2 -3 hours (total) on saturaday or sunday afternoon
Total weekly time: 12 -14 hours.

In comparison I probably read for 2 hours a day as well, but only watch 1 hour of TV a day.
But I might browse the web and generally procrastinate at work (emm like Im doing now) for 2 hours a day depending if its a slow day

Answers on a postcard to "that thread that Hanno started that most people choose to ignore"

PS Am I becoming a thread starter and killer?

I probably play (all games together) about 3-5 hours per week. Once upon a time, 3+ hours a night would have been perfectly normal.

I kinda like it better this way.

Well I like a balance between work/fun/family , but I did think my 14 hours a weeks was a bit high
until I consider that 5 hours of it is playing Terraira with my daughter which I see as a sort of virtual lego.
AND Please note who introduced us to the world of Terraria *points finger* :P

I still get a few hours a night of gaming in, it's all just focused on one game though ;)

I used to play quite a lot, then I got a job in the games industry which ment the last thing I wanted to do when I got home was fire up my computer.
I've finished that contract now so play a bit more but loads less than when I was younger, now I feel guilty if I am not working. Maybe 10 hours a week? a lot of TF2 as it's easy to dip into.

Probably 2 hours a night, when the kids are in bed and the wife is watching her guff on the tv! Perfect. Weekends are touch and go for a party animal like myself (har har)...

Heck I thought you'd have 3 xboxes and have those two wee nippers trained ready for BF3 by now!
Letting them go to bed when they could be playing is just bad parenting!

Still struggling to get much gaming in but dipping in and out of GW to pump up my rewards for the next incarnation (which should be ready in about forty years' time), and that's going quite well. It seems to be mostly when no one else is around though, judging by the Guild panel. Do people still use Xfire or anything like that?
