Anyway got on the server and played a few games. I still now how to run! :woot:
Though its weird playing widescreen, things seem streched ..

Yep I had the 6 cd's version as well to install - how we take DVDs for granted now!

Ah, the 6-cd install :)

Its been a while, I tend to install UT, UT2004 & UT3 on any new computer, and leave them there forever!!!

If you want to get some practice in guys, then you'll get a populated server from about 9pm tonight. Failing that, go in and smack some bots around.

DVD install for us

Baws - I don't need practice at dying - I could always do that well, and I am sure I will be able to that even better now

Macro, Mez, Bufty & Oz have all been regulars on the FnG server for years. They play every Sunday to Thursday night, and so are quite good :) No shame with them killing you. Great thing about freon is you don't need to be amazing to make a diff!

So, where do I need to be tonight? COD4? UT? :)

If it's UT, any chance of lowering the bot count for the evening? :panic:

Bufty & Oz are the ones I saw, there was a mysterious 3rd though 8-). And I am totally proud, I can own the bots on the server! /flex
And if its good then you can catch me tonight too for Freon Hanno :P
I hope we get many maps with good hiding spots! Some might call me a camper but honestly, I'm hiding ! 8-)

I also probably have a bunch of old and silly keybinds which may or may not appear at some point - I am hoping not, but it has been a few years since we played, so who knows :yahoo:

Just one thing, guys, whilst I remember .....

Please could we avoid perma-killing? The old hands know how much I hate that, as I really am total pants at UT, and sitting out for most of the map is seriously boring :gripe: - boring enough to go straight back to Aion and never showing my face again. Paws, you might like to warn your 'regulars' what a total wimp I am.

Having said that - we will be there at 7pm GMT (8pm our time).

Dont worry Tiger, I will flex my admin muscles of sheer power. There will be no perma-death. The regulars never play freon anyway, so they probably dont know you can do it.

I wont be there until 7:30pm, so unless another admin turns up, you may be stuck with the bots (i will certainly remove them when I get there if not already done). Perhaps just do some shooty practice first?

Heres hoping for some fun games!

Edit to say Bufty & Oz are father and son. Bufty may very well be the oldest UT2004er in history, as Oz himself is older than me :)

Another edit. I'm on a 1/2Meg connection right now (BT engineer coming out tomorrow to fix it hopefully), so TeamSpeak is unfortunately not likely for me. There's barely enough bandwidth for the game!

I'll try it and see anyway...

Cool Paws - thanks. :D

Bots are good - I can kill those ..... sometimes. :brow:

Bah! Bufty is a mere spring chicken ..... :P

You have GOT to try TS - freon without Lily squeaks is just not .... well ... it just ISN'T! :lmao:

Lilly, I fear we will be sitting ducks for some of the guys. But at least we'll freeze together? :P

Also I totally forgot about the permadeaths, eum, dunno anymore how this goes tbh, so if it happens, it is by accident!
