I started climbing on the 15th January and have just reached 29029 feet from sea level.
Okay not quite but nearly.
As part of my exercise I climb sets of stairs at home. Each set of stairs is equal to 8 feet of vertical height.
I usually do about 20 - 50 sets a day, with the first 10 sets carrying 20kg weights
I've just completed 3629* sets which is equal to climbing Everest from sea level.

(*This excludes the normal day to day climbing of stairs which is probably another 15 sets a day!)
This seems a much safer (+warmer) option than doing it for real!
