You read Sluggy Freelance too? Awesome! :D :cheerleader:

It's amazing to think I started reading that comic back when I was at university. Man, we're talking twelve years ago or something ...

Yup, reading it too... Well, sometimes, I find that it gets a bit tedious. Lots of text and only a small punchline... However, this is just too funny...

Type "about:robots" into the address pane of Firefox...
You know you're a card-carrying nerd if you get all five references.
Me = 100% nert!

And who clicked the button?
:dizzy:

Soon ALL movies will just be Liam Neeson yelling into a phone.

LOL! I am only 80% nert (I failed Battlestar Galactica), but I did click the button. Three times.

If you count the page's title as a reference, technically I got five out of six.

Good point. Title is indeed another reference.
No worries, me still 100% high-quality nert, with a third fewer calories than your regular nerd.

C'mon, I get no rise-to-the-bait on the impossibility of clicking the button three times (without reloading the page)? :(

Boo, you win.

Oops! We all just assumed you were stoopit enough to endlessly reload the page...

Sorry,

It is surprisingly short on Trek refs. Hmm, well maybe because ST didn't deal primarily with robots, Data notwithstanding?
No Star Wars refs either; they could have put some quote in from the 'droids. Maybe that would be too obvious?

Spoiler:
  1. Gort! Klaatu barada nikto! <—The command to cause Klaatu's robot Gort to stand down. From the classic The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
We have come to visit you in peace and with goodwill! <—Also from The Day the Earth Stood Still, Klaatu's character
  2. Robots may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. <----one of Isaac Asimov's three laws of robotics from "I, Robot" (was also used in Aliens, quoted by robot Bishop)
  3. Robots have seen things you people wouldn't believe. <— bit of speech from Rutger Hauer's Roy Batty 'replicant' character in Bladerunner
  4. Robots are Your Plastic Pal Who's Fun To Be With. <— From Douglas Adams' "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"
  5. Robots have shiny metal posteriors which should not be bitten. <— Bender from Futurama
  6. And they have a plan. <— From the openings of many of the current Battlestar Galactica shows

WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!

On thursday nights, me & a few mates do the pub quiz down my local. Normally we come last, out of about 7 - 8 teams - this time, I expected us to come 2nd to last as my sister & her friend had their own team. But no...

We came 3rd! Not bad, for 5 youngsters who know nothing... We got a bottle of wine for our efforts - none of us drink wine, but on this occasion we did.... :pinkalien: :pinkalien: :pinkalien:

Couldn't agree more. Some of the greatest warriors on the planet. :beerchug:

If the service they've provided Her Majesty's Empire isn't worthy of allowing them to live in Britain, I don't know what is.
