Just so the wii forum doesnt feel lonely.

Admit it. We all own a Wii. Just none of us play the thing.

(apart from our kids, I assume).

I own one and would love to play it. Unfortunately, I purchased it (and the games) specifically for party purposes. So, I got party-style games.

Then, all my friends got fired from their jobs two years ago (literally every single one of them) and they had to move out of town (and out of state).

So, it sits there lonely, for Mario Party is a very poor single-player game.

I owned one, realised I never really touched it and sold it so :)

Got kids so got one, very seldom used although ma boy was playing Mario Karts last night and I played some tiger woods a few weeks ago. Shame really as Ive got every game worth having for it and a few others...

Funnily when the wife goes on Wii Fit it keeps complaining that it hasnt seen me in over a year...lol...or in my case quite a few kilos ago

I own one too.
What irks me the most, is that the games are so <expletive> expensive, and don't drop in price at all over time.

I did find an affordable copy of Boom Blox 2 for 15 euros at the Intertoys, though... However, the Marios, Zeldas and stuff like that keep sticking at the 45/50 euro mark...
With kind regards, Mathijs

Well I'm sorry I disagree, this has given me the most value vs money of any Pc or game /cosole combination.
(Well apart from UT2004 which cost me £15 and I got a £9 cashback on it, and played it for 3 years?)

Okay so its not like I use it myself but watching the wife doing the oldly wifi is very entertaining :brow:

Hanno.

You stopped playing UT2004 after years? We're all playing it still, every night on Euro! You havent got your money's worth yet - get back on it!

This is a bit of a surprise to me, honestly. The Marios and Zeldas drop in price pretty rapidly over here. I got Super Mario Galaxy for 20 dollars about one month post-release.

My wife loves the Super Mario remake, and multiplayer it really shines where you can play up to 4 people on screen simultaneously. Single player it is actually pretty difficult, 2 players is good, and 3 or 4 is just chaos where you are more likely to kill each other than finish the level. I'm going to get her the Donkey Kong remake for Christmas so we don't have to keep playing Mario over and over.

Oh dear .... and Spinksy and Lily have just invested in one ...... trust us to be miles behind everyone else :bedrime:

I was going to ask if there were any 'must have' games for the wii, but it looks like you've all given up! We had Cuvs and Charlee over here a couple of weeks ago, they brought their wii, and we had great fun playing tennis with all four of us, so we took the plunge! We tried playing Super Mario, but like Malvos says, four is really a non starter (particularly as I'd never played Mario before, and hadn't got a clue what was going on... :gripe: ).

Still, so far we're thoroughly enjoying it, even if we only have two packs - wii fit and wii sports. :cheerleader:

Its going to take more than a Wii fit to counter Spinksies Chocolate addiction!

Andrea does the wii fit thing a lot and every so often it complains that it hasnt seen Hanno for Looooooong time.

The only thing I'm playing at the moment is Mario Kart will Erin but we are both terrible at it.
I did enjoy some skiing type games for a while with the wii fit board but due to a injury with my stomach
muscules I found that it caused me too much pain.

Have fun anyway !

I don't plan on countering my chocolate addiction - it just helps me build up an appetite for more chocolate :P
