Remember, the demo of the creature editor is released on Tuesday, and the full version is released on Wednesday (I only know because EA sent me an email after I preordered it saying the preorder date is delayed to Wednesday)

And about the multiplayer aspect: There will be no multiplayer, except in a small extent. Sure, you can find your friends races, and planets, and blow them up/destroy their worlds, but their personal game will not be effected. The multiverse, since it'll be many universes, will tell you if your planet was blown up on a different person's game. That way your planet will not be destroyed if you're off one night and then log in one night and everything you worked so hard for is suddenly gone.

This is the multiplayer part of Spore. I agree with this limit of multiplayer. You can see your friends who destroyed your stuff in their game, but it won't kill your game too.

Looking forward to having a pokie at the demo tommorrow or wednesday!

In the meantime, I'll keep myself entertained by telling my 4 year daughter to count up to 1 million and guessing how
far she will get before she claims to be too bored.... 147 so far.

Us North Americans can't buy from the UK EA Store, sadly.

Anyways, I am getting this new Spore demo, since it's a different size, and has a different filename. Perhaps it won't have the bug that effected the original 'demo'.

Anyways, tomorrow, the digital download should be out for the full version of the creature creator. I'm eagerly awaiting that part, and will even play the 'demo' until the full version is released.

A couple of creatures are already posted on youtube on my youtube page.

Yep, my username here is the same as it is there.

EDIT: Bug is known issue between EA Downloader and the Spore trial. Typical. So, if you get the creator crashing, remove the EA downloader from your computer from the add/remove files thingy.

Something you can only make with the full version of the creator

Now, how did I do it without the full version YET? It's a secret.

And I'll soon have the full version, once it's up on the EA downloader

I had a go with the demo last night, and although it was quite fun,
I can't see much more point until the full games out, and then I'll reserve judgement
as I really would prefer a more full on multiplayer game rather than the half way measures.

Donwloaded the demo and it was fun for half an hour creating a beastie ... is there anything else you can do with it at the moment?

Lol no you can make them dance but thats about all, its really just a teaser for those who get hyped by the hype and
can't wait for the proper game until September.

Saying that I paid the £4.99 for the full creator as I wanted a beak for an anim I've got an idea for. Plus I think Erin
will love to make critters on it.

Thanks Hanno - I did not think there was anything else you could do at this stage - just was not sure.

Think I would like to try a demo of the full version before buying something like this ... if they do a demo, as and when it is fully released.

Careful about doing anything even unintentionally suggestive. My account was banned because one of my creatures had a mouth on a stalk, and someone reported it as a phallic reference. I had to go argue with EA to get myself unbanned.

Edit: Here's my page, minus my banned one. http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=usr-Sundae

@ Sundae: :rolf: Sorry about the hassle, but that's really quite funny. (imho)

Nice work, on the ones where your mind's out the gutter,

Well, this is a little late news, but Spore has gone gold!

Yep, it's officially coming out now. I personally have already put in a preorder for the Galactic Edition. I want the goodies of it! Usually I get the regular edition of games, but this is special. I know for Sims 2, I got the special DVD edition. It was the same price, and I got it on a DVD. For galactic civilizations 2 I got the collector's edition (by mistake. They mailed it to me!).

And for City of Heroes I got the Hero Gear Pack which is the special edition items, and I got the City of villains collector's edition, for the goodies in it. Other than that, I get regular editions. I know the galactic edition is more expensive, but hopefully the goodies will be worth it.

On a side note, this game will run on my laptop! It's school issued, with an onboard gfx card, but the Processor (processor is better than my PC's processor) and RAM (same amount of ram) is above the requirements for onboard GFX.

The creature creator runs well on my laptop.
