Just noticed that the 'remake' of this is getting pretty good reviews.
I am slightly tempted BUT I remember playing the original while off work with a bad neck/back
with a bag of frozen peas against said painful bit. Addict probably.

Im playing it, its quite a nice game, if you manage to look past the bugs .. And there are plenty of those. Like there is/ was one that freezes your game when you first see a Muton, some enemy alien, when on a map. There was one tip, try hitting them with the splash damage of a rocket before seeing them. Did that, and you could move on then, still, you had to repeat that each time you came on a new map

But aside the bugs, a VERY solid TBS (turn based strategy). And after all those bugs are patched then its worth it for sure.

I feel for you Hanno, I've heard that getting off frozen peas can be very difficult and the withdrawl symptons last a long time

I feel for you Hanno, I've heard that getting off frozen peas can be very difficult and the withdrawl symptons last a long time
It was about 15? years ago so Im probably off it.
