Another week, and yet another trailer for Watchdogs:

Got to admit its looking fun, with the added bonus of silly minigames as well.

Well what's new then? Not a lot - update on the rest?

The Crew - Tried and liked Beta - graphics are pretty good and cruising from one place another is good.
The story is a bit duff, but skills and challenges are fun.
Open world group play is limited to 4 people although you can everyone else as you smash into them.
There are also set PVP races for up to 8 people like traditional racing games.
Out in November, I've preordered it but I expect I'll be playing it more single player than multi.

Elite- Dangerous - Got beta as I had some spare cash. Enjoyed it although its
a bit sparse on features at the moment. Graphics are great, flying model is great.
Nice options the way multiplayer is set up, you can play solo, play with friends or play with everyone
apparently all interchangeably. Waiting for a game breaking bug to be fixed before I play more.
(Came out of warp inside walls of station -boooom- lost half my cash/ship)

Borderlands Prequel - Looks interesting - will probably get when price drops as original was good fun.
Again limited to 4 people coop :-(

Battlefield Hardline - I enjoyed beta of this - it was fun and slightly different to the other battlefield stuff.
But I'll only buy it when price comes down to a suitable level ie about £15

Evolve - clips I've seen of this so far haven't fulfilled what it originally promised - might be okay but not sure.

Call of Duty - Advanced Whatnot - Looks cool but past COD experience blighted by public servers/idiots - doubtful that I'd bother.

Grandtheft auto 5 - Like open world etc but I don't approve of the immorality plus all the swearing is nono with Erin playing on pc next to me.

Unreal Tournament XXX - Not until 2015 and it might not be what our rose tinted glasses from past hope for.

H1Z1 - Due out in early access in Q3 - if its free will give it a go.

Have I missed anything else that looks worthwhile coming this year?

In meantime I'm going back to playing a bit more 7 Days to Die :bedrime:

Evolve: looks pretty fun to me,
the price is now €40 might be worth a shot if the price drops.

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare: to me just one big nope
the people online are a pain.
and just like Black ops 2 we'll get bored of in 1 or 2 months. :stars:

Battlefield Hardline: funny cops and robbers FPS game.
If its around €20 might be worth it.

GTA V: driving around in cars, steal militairy jets, tanks etc.
pretty funny although the strong language isn't always as fun. . . :chin:

Borderlands the Pre-Sequel: looks fun like Borderlands 2, :D
I heard there were more character comments on what is happening in the story line.
and every character reacts differently on what os happening.

The Crew: tried the Beta had lots of fun with Hanno. :)
price on g2a is €32 still a little bit too much and its probaly on Uplay,
for some reason I got the name: guest-4RZkQ4sv while I did give up the name The_Carrot. . . :gripe:
name changing is not possible and that issue is going on since 2012.
I might wait for a steam sale when it drops to a good price

Next car game has been rechristened Wreckfest and multiplayer now added for upto 18 players.
4 game modes at the moment: Racing, Demolition Derby, and the new Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch
And your hosting your own games rather than central servers, which is always good, i think.

Its still in early access alpha at £19.99 but if it ever shows up on sale I might be tempted as it looks 'smashing' fun.

Okay well I spent some of my games money that had been building up - Borderlands prequel and as the Shadows of Mordor ( as it got good reviews.)

Spent a good chunk of the weekend playing Borderlands prequel with Carrot.
Its not bad but very little new - you could read it as Borderlands with a new full length story.
Apart from managing air reserves (youre on a moon) and jump boosts, plus new weapon types (Cryo - chance to freeze them solid)
I can't really see any difference from Borderlands 2.

I was thinking about spending some money on this, so not worth it than.

It's more of the same so if you liked the either of the other 2 you'd like this one and if you can get a cheap key then go for it.

Not much replay ability unless its co-op with friends.

Been playing Shadow of Mordor this weekend and its much better thank Borderlands prequel.
Sort of action fighting and stealth of Batman Arkam combined with missions and sneaky stuff from Assassins Creed.
I couldn't play it with keyboard though as too many different moves to cope with, had to switch to xbox controller,
so this morning my hands are in controller claw mode still.
Some the fights involve killing 30 -50 orcs at a time and they just keep coming, so you can literally be
rapidly mashing buttons for 10 -15 minutes straight without a break (HITs escape twice to pause) which
is a little bit overload.
One nice thing that surprised me out of the blue is that although its single player it picks up friends deaths
from steam so I got a mission (Avenge Unholy_Eve by killing Hoth the Hansom) , and later
Eve avenged a couple of my deaths. A nice touch.
Graphics and pace of the game are nice, only downside similar to Skyrim is you
have quests and collectables all over the place, so its easy to get side tracked going somewhere
and forget which quest you originally started playing. But most quests are a lot shorter
so its not as bad as getting lost in a skyrim dungeon. There is a main quest line
which moves the story along and unlocks some of the skills
but apart from that its pretty open up to a point with the rest of what you can do.
