Must-have Wii titles

The place to talk about any other games that the clan doesn't currently play or just the place to talk about other games in general.

So is anyone still playing with Wiis, or are they old hat and now left in a cupboard to gather dust?

I got one for my daughter (nearly 6) last month mainly for the wii fit plus for a little bit of structured exercise inside
as it has now been raining for 2 months solid here. Her unstructured exercise involves throwing her self around too fast so the wii so of at least
keeps her stuck in one place. Wii fit plus is pretty good, and some of the new exercise-games on it seem far more interesting than the originals.
It took me two weeks to do all the levels in the skateboard minigame!

She also bought world of Zoo with her own money - as she was brain washed by the adverts, this is okay but pretty shallow.

I'll probably get Mario kart for her - she was pretty into Project Torque on the PC but I suspect mario kart will be a bit closer to her level anyway and
fun for all of us.

Hurray for hanno's double post :D

As for the games Mario Kart is a must if you've got a few extra remotes, Mario Galaxy and the second one when its released oh and the New Super Mario Bros. Is quite a fun game.

As for my Wii it hasn't even been turned on in over 6 months now I do wipe the dust of it from time to time but it probably wont see any action untill Mario Galaxy 2 is released and again untill another Legend of Zelda game is announced.

We just got the new Mario Bros. which my wife loves, as well as a couple Raving Rabbids games. We do have Mario Kart as well which we've played quite a lot of.

New SMB is a lot of fun. I suck at console games so badly now, but it's still awesome.

Yeah, it's great to see all the old classic Mario Bros. stuff again with some new add-ons...the save-yourself feature is great when playing 2 or more people and really adds some new strategies in some places. Playing with my wife and sister there were times we'd all panic at the same time, hit 'A' and all be floating around in bubbles.

My kids play it all the time - especially Lego Star Wars/Batmad/Indiana Jones.

Wii sports always get played when we have folk around for a drink, as does the Wii Fit (ski jump especially). Im giving it a quick polish for Xmas night :) :)

That's if im not playing my new Xbox 360 instead.

Wii is awesome. I seldom play it, but I love it to death. :)
